The Da Vinci Code follows the Marxist narrative: all Christian Churches are operated by the evil Bourgeoisie who use religion as an “opiate” to control the “masses.”  In The Da Vinci Code, the leaders of the Church don’t actually believe Christ is Divine (in fact, they don’t believe in God at all), but are only cynically promoting this belief among the masses to make them complacent and compliant. The book’s actions revolve around the “agents of control” attempting to kill the “agents of chaos” and keep them from exposing this fundamental “truth” to the Proletariats of the world. 

This is  almost epic as in Dave McGowan's LC  series
